CAMPAIGN FOR ERADICATION OF DENGUE VIRUS

Dear EO’ers,

As you all are aware that thousands of people have been affected by dengue virus in Lahore / Punjab and large number of deaths have been claimed by this deadly virus. Now symptoms of dengue fever are also being felt in Karachi. In order to reduce the habitat and number of mosquitoes and limiting exposure to bites it is proposed to launch anti dengue drive in Karachi for its prevention and control. The campaign will be launched in whole Karachi; especially in less developed and neglected localities where it is feared that outbreak of dengue virus is more likely.

To launch anti-dengue campaign, we need at least six fogging machines and anti-mosquito spray. Each fogging machine would cost around Rs.135,000/-, besides cost of the spray.

To achieve the objective we need appropriate funds and speedy measures.  In this regard Diamond Foam Unit at Karachi voluntarily offers its vehicles for spray in the city.Every member of our organization ,personally visit and monitor those areas where our organization sent fogging machines for spray.

Look forward for your kind cooperation at the earliest, to prevent Karachites from this deadly virus.

Three significant questions that all entrepreneurs should ask themselves when they’re just getting started | MD's Corner

MD’s Corner
Learning Chair EO Karachi FY 2011-2012
Mohammad Dochki at the age of 33 has achieved innumerable accolades in the travel industry. Having an extensive background in this field, he is essentially responsible for the unprecedented growth of the diversified group, having a team of 900 dedicated employees.

Three significant questions that all entrepreneurs should ask themselves when they’re just getting started

“One of the first lessons taught to me by my friend sticks with me to this day: The only reason a business fails is that it runs out of cash. As such, the first question every entrepreneur should be able to answer in a second is, “How many days do I have to live?” That helps the entrepreneur think about how to manage their costs and their funding strategy.

The second question I look for an immediate response to is, “Why are you doing this?” Starting up new businesses is incredibly hard. Most fail. The ones that succeed require hard work and constant attention. An entrepreneur who doesn’t have a good answer to this question is unlikely to succeed — and is certainly unlikely to raise external capital.

Finally, I always want an entrepreneur to tell me the two critical things they are working on at any given time. Of course, any new venture will have dozens of areas that need attention on a daily basis. But a good entrepreneur can step back and highlight the two things they are really hoping to learn during a set time period. These aren’t always the fires burning brightest. Ideally, they relate to the biggest unknowns in the hypothesized business model.”
